Once upon a time, a blog was started at AOL Journals. The scales fell from the eyes of The Creator and it was moved to Wordpress. Then Journals tanked and all old posts were moved here for safekeeping.

I think I like Six Gables better - but then I am a sucker for anything lol cats
I find blogger pretty easy to work with and that green background is pretty, but I like your layout at Six Gables better. Bigger pics on that one. Bigger pics = better blogulage. Also, props for your blatant disregard of the Laws of the Internet (the posting of child photos before cat photos, even though you do own cats). It's so daring!
PS- if you use Six Gables, I may steal the green background from Squid Ink.

I like the look of wordpress. Definitely bright and clean. Maybe if I'd looked at the blogged one, first, though, I would think wordpress was too stark. Maybe you could configure the blogger one to be more plain so we do more of a comparison? How's that for no help at all?
But I join you wholeheartedly in your Project Runway love.
I definitely like the Wordpress one better. Nevermind that I use Blogger. But my Blogger page background is all black, super simple.
